Pro surfer Lakey Peterson is an incredible role model – who looks like a supermodel! No wonder she’s gracing the cover of ESPN’s RISE magazine, a publication that focuses on women’s sports and encourages young women by featuring athletes like Lakey.
Alyssa Pizer Management’s Cheyenne Ellis took this cover photo just before Lakey jumped on a plane to Australia for a surf competition. Lakey’s just sixteen, but is set to be the next big star of women’s surfing. She’s not letting success go to her head, though. Cheyenne has this to say about the surfer girl: “…she’s a sweetheart, grounded, donating her time to charities, and proving to be a great role model for other young girls in the sport.” We’re so happy Cheyenne captured this remarkable young lady in her element in Santa Barbara, her favorite spot to surf.
